Commenting

Get into the habit of building a template and then commenting out the specific areas of the xHTML template. These include:

  • Navigation areas
  • Include files
  • Footer or Copyright information
  • Reminders not to delete certain aspects of the file
  • Any special details to future developers
  • Notes to yourself

    Comment at the beginning of the project and not and the end, you will not have enough time at the end of the project to comment your pages properly.

    The comment is started with <!-- and ends with --->

    Any code or content that falls within the comment tag will not be rendered by the browser.
