Business Card Basics

  • Standard size: 3 1/2 inches x 2 inches
  • Design at 150dpi or 300dpi
  • When using images, shapes, etc., design with a "bleed" or overlap
  • You can design vertical or horizontal
  • Generally limit the number of fonts
  • Two fonts at the most (one for your name and one for the info)
  • Logo is counted separately
  • Limit use of drop shadow, bevel, etc
  • Use a "professional" email address
