Social Media Content Manager

Each week, a group of two will manage the Sheridan IMM social media accounts.

The group will be responsible for finding, creating and posting content to a cross-section of program social media accounts:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Pinterest
  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • Tumblr
  • LinkedIN
  • Students are required to read and sign off on the Sheridan Social Media Policy

    Groups will forward their schedule of posts, images and writeups on the Friday prior to their of their week - Andrew to vet your posts prior to posting.

    Each post will be "signed" with your intials, i.e. ^AS

    At the end of the week, groups will submit a brief overview/analysis of their activities and posts from the metrics.

    Social Media Manager Assignment (15points)

    In groups of three: plan, create, curate content for the IMM social media platforms.

    Requirements (these are minimums)

    Weekly
  • Three Twitter/Threads/Tumblr posts per the week
  • Two (articles/event) per week to Facebook
  • Six (6) Pinterest pins
  • One Instagram post per day - use 800x800 image or video for posts (and/or stories)
  • Any short video and slide show can be posted to TikTok
  • Two posts to Sheridan IMM page on LinkedIN
  • Hasttag every post properly.

    A short write up on the week. What you think worked, what did not. Did you track your visits and/or create a theme for the week. (15 points)

    Remember to:

  • All posts need to be scheduled and OK'd by Andrew
  • Follow Sheridan’s Social Media Policy
  • Use good Social Media Etiquette
  • Be consistent with the platforms and their posting
  • Use of proper grammar and spelling.
  • Vet the content you are posting, do not just post from Mashable, TechVibes, etc without reading the article.
  • Sign your posts with your initials, example: mine would be, ^AS
  • Interactive Multimedia 2024-2025
